Project notes
The palette stays within cream, gold and warm brown, so the kitten’s patches and the flowers on the heart look like one set. The white faux leather is left bare between the markings, and the whiskers and mouth are stitched lines rather than beads. With 378 beads, the work moves along quickly. You bead each piece on the front, then join it to its back around the edge with a little batting inside. This gives the kitten a soft, rounded body.

The neutral white and gold works on a bag of almost any color, and the gold heart adds a little shine as it swings beside the kitten.
