Project notes
Against black faux leather, every one of the seven colors stands out. Blue goes into the flowers, two greens and yellow into the stems and leaves, silver-white into the ears and grey onto the nose. The whiskers and smile are stitched in white thread. The red heart picks up the same greens and has a white flower of its own, so the two pieces belong together. You bead each piece on the front, then join it to its back around the edge with a little batting inside. The cat and heart come out soft and padded.

The strong colors on black make this charm easy to spot on a dark bag and lively on a light one.
