Wonderland Crafts FLBB-187 Carrot Easter Topper, Bead Embroidery Kit on Faux Leather

Bead embroidery kit for a plump orange carrot with a leafy green top on a wooden stick, to tuck into an Easter basket, a flower pot or a spring centerpiece. The carrot is covered in bright beadwork: a deep red and gold rosette, cobalt-blue scrolls and green sprigs. Green and orange ribbons and a little bell finish it. Wonderland Crafts FLBB-187 comes with the carrot and leaf pieces cut to shape and the holes already punched, so every bead goes into a fixed place. There is no fabric, no hoop and nothing to frame.

Project notes
This is the most colorful topper in its series, with seven bead colors set against glossy orange and pale green faux leather. You bead both sides with different designs: one has a large square rosette framed by blue scrolls, the other a crisscross lattice. The leafy top carries its own small yellow and green motif. Once both sides are done, you join them around the edge with a little batting inside, so the carrot comes out rounded and plump. Then the stick goes in at the base, and the ribbons and bell are tied below.

A carrot is a natural partner for Easter bunnies, and its warm orange brightens a basket of eggs or a pot of spring bulbs.
