Bead embroidery kit for a smiling blue whale bag charm on faux leather, to clip onto a handbag, backpack or keys. The whale has a flipped-up tail, a cream belly lined with curved rows of soft peach beads, and a scatter of pearl “bubbles” across its back. Wonderland Crafts FLBB-194 comes with the whale and belly pieces cut to shape and the holes already punched, so every bead goes into a fixed place. There is no fabric, no hoop and nothing to frame.

Project notes
The cream belly panel sits on top of the glossy periwinkle body. Rows of peach seed beads follow its curve like the grooves on a real whale’s throat. Pearls in a few sizes and small white seed beads are scattered over the back and tail as bubbles, and a single black bead makes the eye. You bead the front first, then join it to its back around the edge with a little batting inside. The whale comes out soft and gently rounded.

At almost four inches wide, the whale is big enough to stand out on a bag. Its soft blue and cream suit summer, beach trips and anyone who loves the sea.
