Bead embroidery kit for a duck and flower bag charm on faux leather. The round little white duckling has an orange beak and feet, peachy cheeks and shiny black eyes. Beside it hangs a white daisy whose orange center is ringed by rays of golden beads, both on one clasp for a backpack, handbag or keys. Wonderland Crafts FLBB-198 comes with the duck, flower and orange accent pieces cut to shape and the holes already punched, so every bead goes into a fixed place. There is no fabric, no hoop and nothing to frame.

Project notes
The orange beak, feet and flower center are cut from a separate piece of orange faux leather and layered onto the white. Matching orange beads outline them, so the shapes stand out crisply without heavy beading. Peach beads give the duck its blush. On the daisy, lines of bronze seed beads run out from the center to large gold beads at the tips of the petals. With 251 beads in three colors, the project moves quickly. You bead each piece on the front, then join it to its back around the edge with a little batting inside. The duck and flower come out soft and plump.

White, orange and gold make a sunny, cheerful combination that brightens a plain bag in spring and summer.
