💡 Tip: the jump rings come open, so a pair of small flat-nose pliers helps close them securely.

Project notes
The holes in the plastic are pre-punched, so every bead has its own place on the chart. There is no fabric to stretch and no hoop. You bead the fish on both blanks, then stitch the two halves together along the edge with the same clear monofilament. The seam stays invisible, and the piece looks complete from either side. With 4 colors the chart is easy to follow, while 1,564 beads make it a satisfying project for several evenings. The chain attaches to the top of the fish with the two jump rings.

Because it is not tied to a holiday, the goldfish works as year-round decor. Hang it in a sunny window where the beads catch the light, in a bathroom or nursery with a sea theme, or as a small charm from a rearview mirror.
